The main text, Lehmann and Myers, is a collection of articles by
different authors.  These are not generalized pieces that provide
an overview of the material being covered in the topic for the
day's class.  Rather, they provide examples in practice of what is
being discussed or viewed in class.


GRADES    Final grades will be determined as follows:

50%                written work
                                            Paper 1                  10%
                                            Assignment 1:1      15%
                                            Assignment 1:2      15%
                                            Short essay           10%

25%                quizzes
25%                class participation
                                         (discussion, attendance, preparation, attitude, etc.)

No incompletes!       Failure to turn in any assignment will result in a
                                 grade of "F" for the course.

POLICIES    Continued enrollment of a student in this course
                                implies a contractual agreement by the student
                                to abide by all course policies.
